Karma Police, Radiohead
Karma police, I've given all I can, its not enough
I've given all I can, but we're still on the payroll
This is what you get, this is what you get
This is what you get, when you mess with us
And for a minute there, I lost myself, I lost myself
And for a minute there, I lost myself, I lost myself
For a minute there, I lost myself, I lost myself
For a minute there, I lost myself, I lost myself
- I've wanted to do a video for the final four ever since I saw Crossroads, so this one has been stewing a long time.
- Eventually, I re-discovered this little gem by Radiohead and felt it fit perfectly. I did cut out the first verse, despite the fact that it works incredibly well for the simple fact that once a song begins to approach the four minute mark my "vidding allergy" starts to kick in. Haha.
- Also, there's a ton of great instrumental stuff to work with in this song and not a lot of appropriate Tori/Anders footage. (Whereas Chief and Tigh have boatloads.) I wanted to keep a balance between each character as much as I could, while also sort of showing their interactions and connections with the other cylons. Hopefully I succeeded.
- I need to thank the always lovely
Enjoy! All comments welcome! :D

The song really is perfect and you rocked the instrumentals like whoah.
The coloring..gorgeous, esepcially with the texture, it's very super pretty.
Okay, it's play by play time! Ready, set, go! When I say 'YES' you say 'NO' (sorry, that reminded me of that)
I love the shots of each character and they're like..area/ship in the beginning. That is very nifty. Plus I LOVE, throughout the whole vid actually, the mix between fast and slow motion. That's just like my vidding kink right now (is that weird to say? lol whatever, because it is, i'm not gonna lie). And the way you did it and the places where you did it is awesome. I love it. That part with Anders especially.
:27 - beat use! right on, looks awesome. it's a perfect kinda kick start to the vid, because i think finding out that boomer was a cylon really started kind of a downward spiral from there
:46-:56 - probably one of my most favoritest parts of the vid. The cuts between Roslin laying her hand on Hera's head and Sharon's hand on the dead baby. Extremely effective, definitely a means for some Karma. And I just love the look on Tori's face with the shot of the picture
:( Poor Gina!
1:09 - My favorite part of the vid. I don't know why, I just love the beats and the look on Caprica's face. It totally fits with the lyrics, you mess with her - she'll getcha back. Awesome.
1:18 - everytime i watch the vid, i'm more and more glad you didn't listen to me and you kept this the way it was. you're right. perfect
Aww Tigh *hugs him* I would like to say again that I really like that you added the pictures of Ellen. Really seals the deal on that one.
The effect you have at the end is gorgeous, it works perfectly with that crazy noise, and the texture just makes it that more nifty looking. Very good choice.
And the vid, all around, is amazing. I love it :)

1 - Yeah i had to listen to my gut about Tori. She spoke to me. She said "leave it bitch, or I'll cut you." Or she might have threatened to stop making out with Anders, one of the two.
2 - Poor Gina! Oh! (Too bad she went and blew up a bunch of people, because I kind of loved her.)
3 - You used the word "favoritest" haha, aren't you so cute!
4 - You are my hero. (My guitar hero!)

But to get back on topic, incredible colors and use of textures as usual! The ending was quite spectacular.

I don't know how I can do this justice really. Your editing is fantastic, the musician part of me is gleeful at how well everything fits together so that it's one seemless piece, and not two seperate pieces. Also, Radiohead = love.
But really, there's not really a lot I can add to what has already been said. But the whole thing was beautiful.

This is what you get
As usual, the effects are extremely well done. The texture you added makes it more visually interesting and the coloring always gives it a boost of something extra for the eyes. The weaving of the stories together is great. Starting with the final four and bringing in Boomer and Six. The atmosphere and feeling created is so desolate. Radiohead could make anyone contemplate slitting their wrists. I absolutely love the distortion that comes in with the music around 2:26. The music suggesting the effects is always so cool.April 8 2008, 18:17:39 UTC 4 years ago
Re: This is what you get
I really appreciate you taking the time to watch and leave such thoughtful feedback! I've got a bad case of Vidder's Remorse when it comes to this vid, which is... not uncommon for any of my vids. So it's nice to hear that some of the things I'm questioning actually seemed to work haha. That'll shut that nagging voice up for a little while at least! Hehe. So thank you! Very much!Radiohead could make anyone contemplate slitting their wrists. → Hahaha. You got that right!

The ending, with the picture faltering and going haywire, like some machine beginning to fail, paralleled what the newly discovered 'robots' were dealing with really well. (at least, that's how I interpreted it)
Great job. It's a keeper!

I love how you introduce all of the Four in their human context on Galactica before moving into their interactions and violence against the Cylon. Boomer's intro especially never fails to make my jaw drop. And I love the very cool motion effect you use starting here. The texture and coloring is gorgeous.
Radiohead is an absolutely perfect choice and now I can't listen to it anymore without thinking of this. Depressing and and very isolating, which, being Radiohead....yeah. Ouch. But, my favorite thing has to be your ending Cylon roll call with the Hybrid as the whole thing dissolves...it just kills me. Every. Time. I love it. :)
Do you mind if I send a rec your way over at
