+ I made manips for these two like forever ago and they were collecting quite a bit of dust. Then, KC kicked me (lovingly) into gear and I finally put them to use! So thank you KC! Cuz this probably never would have gotten made if it weren't for you :) ♥

+ I wasn't really sure where I wanted the video to go when I started. Granted I had more footage of these two then I did of, say, Sam & Duck when I decided to vid them, but it still wasn't a lot. I ended up basically just going chronologically through their journeys, bringing them together at the end - for however brief a time. To me the song (also suggested by [info]crickets lol thank you!) definitely conveys a strong feeling of destiny. So I kinda tried to highlight that - the idea that they're connected right from the start because they're part of the Final Five.

+ You can DL the manips for your own use here at [info]opensourcekiss if you would like. The more Sam/Tyrol videos the merrier we'll all be! There was one other manip used extremely briefly in the vid but I don't really think it was good enough that any of ya'll would want it anyway lol

So pretty! I'm glad you finally did this and in such an amazingly epic way! The song is perfect and the way you interweave the sort of shipper vid-iness of this alongside the epic tale of their cylon nature is poetic and perfect.

Seeing it all complete is just so amazing. It's very pretty! Lovely choice on the coloring and FANTASTIC manips.

Thank you very very much :) I'm really glad it worked on both a shipper level and a non-shipper level. I don't know if I was as heavy on the ship stuff as I really could have been, so I'm glad it still comes across that way [aside from the manips obviously lol]

This was really quite something. I loved the mix of the Cylon imagery, the bits of the hybrid and all the space pieces along with the very best bits of their footage (and I guess bits of footage that never were- that handshake has seen so much mileage- I've seen it work for Gaius and Felix as well) and the manips... it told a story that perhaps a similar fic would not have been able to, coloring and embellishing canon.

The song was a good fit as well.

Thank you so much! I'm really glad the au bits meshed well with the established canon. I haven't really seen too many bsg vids lately so I wasn't sure if anyone had used that handshake for anything other than what it was or not. But I just couldn't pass it up ;)

I've been WAITING for this. Like, to no end.

HOLY FRAKKING AMAZINGNESS.

This song works so well for them, and I love how this focuses a lot on the final five connection/destiny. It makes plenty of sense and yet I wasn't expecting it to work quite this well but it so did, especially going chronologically. And the way you cut to all those clips when his hand is on the wall on Earth -- that was some excellent flashback action. The clips and how they fit the beat? Perfect. The manips? Fabulous. And may I just say that I felt like I was watching this at the movies -- the clarity, the seamlessness -- it's all stunning.

Gosh, I'm just about incoherent. I LOVE this vid so, so, SO much.

When KC first showed me the song I was just shocked by how perfectly the lyrics fit with the show. I'm so glad that it did work for you this way.

I think I knew from the beginning that flashbacks were the way I was going to set up their relationship. Regardless of Sam saying that Tory & Galen were the ones who were together on the first earth, (pstcch whaaat? lol) I love all the possibilities that that previous life opened up. Sam and Galen SO could have been together. So I kinda used that as a catalyst to hook 'em up. And I'm so glad you enjoyed that bit.

And yay to the clarity. I went out and bought s4 the other day so that I could use spiffy dvd rips instead of tv ones lol Good to know that paid off!

Cool!! I never thought much about these two as a slash pairing, but you made it happen. :) I really liked your effects but also great use of existing clips between the two of them. And the use of space battle and supernova footage looked beautiful!

Going into this project I thought that there would be more footage of the two of them (especially when you factor in the resistance on New Caprica) but there surprisingly wasn't. So that's definitely a relief to know I made what I had work!
I feel like all the times I've vidded BSG in the past I've never taken full advantage of all the beautiful space-y footage they have so I went all out with it in this vid hee.

Oh wow, this is gorgeous! I've got shivers all down my back. Firstly, Anders/Chief! \o/ Second, I adore, ADORE the way you put this all together. Muse is meant for epic visuals and it really didn't disappoint. Your sense of musicality just keeps getting better and you carry off gorgeous AUs effortlessly. Amazing work.

Aw gosh thank you SO much! Yay, it's always nice to see other fans of this pairing and I'm really glad the AU-ness of it worked for you! (I was always slightly perplexed by the seeming lack of slash fans in this fandom)

As much as I loved the song, I was a little bit nervous to use it because it sounds so epic lol. I was scared that the song itself would overshadow whatever I put with it, so I'm incredibly relieved to know that I did it justice :)

And whee for musicality! That's something that always seems to come so naturally to other vidders so that's very encouraging to hear.

Oh Dayl, so gorgeous and amazing!

It creates such a sense of intimacy and epic scope of relationship between them. The visual narrative worked seamlessly, the cutting was sharp and the song choice was so intense.

I luff my Anders and Chief to itty bitty bits, so I acknowledge by bias going in to this, but this is just a damn fine vid anyway you look at it. You make them look so good, all painfully and beautifully connected.

Gorgeous stuff, dude. But I expect nothing less than that from you. The whole vid is so visually beautiful, and the way you continuously work in the cylon imagery is great. As impressed as I was (and still am!) by your Sam/Duck vid and how you managed to make that vid like, entirely about a relationship that never occurred on screen, I like the wider scope of this video. It pretty much functions as a study of their parallel journeys, with BONUSKISSING! ;)

Your seamless AUs blow me away! You made Sam/Galen into an epic time-spanning love story! Really gorgeous editing and I love the pacing of this especially, how it's all frantic and overwhelming at just the right parts. Really great job tying it all into the larger Cylon story also, like two epics side-by-side.
